It's an occupational hazzard when reading through the mountain of that arrive each month that as you flick you will endeavour to identify as many products in the mag as possible citing both name of said product and designer it has been made from! Silly I know but I think it's an inbuilt radar from being submerged in this field day and night! So imagine my delight this morning looking through the latest Real Living Magazine whilst eating my breaky when I start saying ' GlobeWest, GlobeWest, GlobeWest... ' Hang on a minute! There was a gorgeous article on the home renovation of one half of our favourite affordable design due Brothers Mendel of GlobeWest fame. We have long been fans of Globewest and their affordable, contemporary and high quality furniture design and it was an absolutel delight to read the spread on Stephen, his wife Tanya and their gorgeous children and the transformation they made to their Melbourne home. Here's a sneak peak!
I had planned to write a blog on one of my Monday colour musings about crisp white on white palettes. I love layering snowy whites on one another, playing with texture and adding slight variations to tone with icy cool industrial finishes. Texture is key in this look as you don't want the space to look overly clinical. The odd carefully selected injection of colour and pattern can also work in this look but don't go too overboard as the idea is to have a serene and soothing atmosphere where the eye isn't jarred at any point but seamlessly floats throughout the space. A perfect example of this would be the front cover of this months Real Living magazine however I've added a few other images to help you on your way!
Love love love the texture of the Cameroon headress on the mantlepiece used as wall art - look out in store this week as we have them arriving in Turquoise and Tan xxx
