The instant attraction was quickly understood as it was by one of my favourite interior designers Patricia Urquiola. She is an amazing spanish interior designer who break the mould constantly whilst still remaining accessible and realistic in her designs. Her signature style of bold colour, print and texture sings to me!
What I love about this house, apart from the obvious design savvy and strong use of colour (I'm in love with that vintage teal settee!) is the story behind how Patricia came to design this house for close friend Patrizia Moroso of famed Italian furniture makers Moroso. After Patrizia had stumbled across an overgrown, rambling shack in Udine she rang her good friend and said ' you simply must come and see '. As all best buddies would, she jumped in the car, drove four hours and the dream home began! Now that's what friends are for (if only we all had them in such high places!)
