The last year has been about head down, bum up and getting through the trials that have been thrown at the retail industry. In addition, we've found that every down has an up and our interior styling branch of the business has taken off dramatically. Sooo it pains me to say that with all this juggling of the Watermelon Red brand our blog FOUND. has been sadly neglected. NO MORE I SAY! FOUND. will now transform into a weekly blog detailing our favourite finds of the week in one easy forum.
With that said, I arrived home yesterday after an exhausting day, spending the trip home writing list of things needed to do and pondering what on earth we were having for dinner, to find my Vogue Living subscription had arrived! What a breath of fresh air. Now, I am a known magazine addict and with the number of home magazines that pass through our home I can truly say that Vogue Living is always so refreshing, marches to it's own beat and stands out truly as the best lifestyle magazine on the Australian market. The cover's alone are completely drool worthy! Proof in point with the May/June 2011 cover, I dream of Parquetry floors as pictured and the intricate storage detail is divine!

I was particulary taken with the Rock Star article on page 189. It is no secret that I personally lust for a softened industrial look in home styling that showcases flashes of bright colour. So when I say the transformed Berlin weekender of Christian Boros and Karen Lohmann all thoughts of lists and evening meals were instantly put on the back burner! A glass of Shiraz in hand, I sat down to comb through the article, to wind down after a hard day! This extraordinary holiday home was a former Nazi bunker that has been transformed into contemporary and inviting space through the added use of soft textural fibres, warm timber features, fashionable art and bucket loads of natural light.
I particularly love this room for it's comfortable simplicity, monochromatic layering of dove grey and charcoal with warm reds. It's chic, sophisticated yet still inviting as a home. LOVE!
